About the style and atmosphere

It is a traditional craft called ``Banko-yaki'' from Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, and is made from potter's clay that contains a lot of ``petalite'', which has excellent heat resistance and durability. The clay used is specially formulated by the manufacturer to maximize its properties, and is designed to prevent cracks that tend to occur with continued use. By eliminating the steam hole and making the edge of the pot deep, we are also particular about the fact that there is less worry about boiling over even if there is no steam hole.
