Just like lacquerware or glass!

This is an elegant 4-inch bowl that will add a touch of elegance to your dining table. Made with a high-quality, high-quality, glossy glaze, it has an attractive, calming atmosphere. "Giyaman" is a foreign word meaning glass that was used from the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period. This series expresses a transparent texture similar to glass and a deep texture reminiscent of lacquerware.

From everyday use to special occasions

The perfect size for serving side dishes such as ohitashi and potato salad. It has just the right amount of depth, making it useful as a serving plate for juicy dishes. It's also wonderful to fill the bowl with matcha ice cream to enjoy a snack time, giving it a Japanese feel. You can also stack them, so you'll want to have several for your family and for guests. *Click here for the cutlery that goes with it.

About the style and atmosphere

The Giyaman series is designed with the motif of chrysanthemums, and is a moist, beautiful, and elegant addition to your dining table. The calm and chic colors will complement your dishes. There is a wide range of colors available, so you can use different ones depending on your mood and cooking. Personally, I would like to pair it with earthenware pottery that has a rough texture and enjoy the smooth and glossy feel of this pottery as an accent. As each item is handmade, some items may look like the ones in the photo. The shading of colors and small scratches are also part of the charm of handmade items. Please enjoy this “once in a lifetime” encounter!

〇From funakikazumi (instagram) The luster of Giyaman looks great on Japanese food presentations. It's also great with pickles on top.

What you need to know before purchasing

-The appearance of items is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced items.
-The charm of handmade items lies in the fact that no two items are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another.
-The coloring, size, and shape of each piece is slightly different, and the charm of handmade items lies in the fact that they are not exactly the same.
-The finish is relatively uniform, but because it is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, color, and so on. Uneven color/uneven firing Because the glaze is applied by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. The firing process is also uneven because the temperature varies depending on the firing location in the kiln.
