Carefully carved traces of handiwork

This is a large dish made of Kohiki(white slip ware)with a pattern made by scraping each piece individually with a plane.

This plate has a cute edging that resembles flower petals. The skin has a glossy texture and is smooth and comfortable to the touch. Depending on how well the glaze is applied, a rough texture appears in some places, giving you a sense of warmth that is unique to earthenware. The slightly reddish areas and the iron points that appear here and there give it a rich look.

I often use it because it is simple and simple

The 7-inch size plates are convenient and useful for everyday use, such as main dish plates, pasta and curry plates, and one-plate dishes. The slightly raised edges also make it easy to use.

Kiln manufacturer's recommended maintenance ・Kowahiki is water-absorbent and tends to leave stains, so we recommend sealing it before use. Most water stains disappear when dry, but if used without sealing, oil stains and stains from dark colors such as soy sauce and coffee tend to remain.
・After using the utensils, wash them as soon as possible and dry them thoroughly. Insufficient drying may cause mold and odors.
- For stains such as tea stains, please use commercially available bleach and rinse thoroughly.

・Penetration (cracks in the surface glaze) may occur during the use process, but this is not a crack or damage and does not affect use.

What you need to know before purchasing

-The appearance of items is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced items.
-The charm of handmade items lies in the fact that no two items are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another.
