A classic design that can be used for a long time

This rice bowl features the Tokusa pattern, a pattern that has long been beloved in Japan. Tokusa is a traditional motif associated with good fortune. The evenly thick lines convey the artisan's meticulous handcrafted work.  The key feature is its light weight, making it easy to hold, even for women and small children! Made of smooth porcelain, it fits comfortably in your hand.

Rice bowls perfect for pairing

Put grilled salmon or cod roe on top of freshly cooked rice. How about adding a little soy-marinated sea bream for a bowl of ochazuke (rice with tea)? The shape makes it easy to use as a small bowl to serve a single side dish, such as boiled taro. It would also make a wonderful gift, or be used with a different pattern.

Handmade pottery is not perfectly uniform, and each piece has slight variations in color, size, and shape, with pinholes, crazing, and distortion. The charm of handmade pottery lies in the fact that no two pieces are exactly alike. These are also the unique characteristics of handmade pottery, so enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter. [Individual Differences] Since each piece is handmade, there may be individual differences in shape, size, and color. [Color Variations/Firing Variations] Since the glaze is applied by hand, the application may not be uniform. During firing, temperatures vary depending on the location in the kiln, resulting in uneven firing.
