Maintenance recommendations from the pottery maker ・If you soak the pottery in hot water before use to allow it to fully absorb tea stains, cooking juices, and grease, it will be less likely to get stained.
・After use, wash it thoroughly and dry it thoroughly before storing it. Leaving it soaked in dirty water or not drying it properly may cause stains or discoloration, or may develop mold or a bad odor.
・The bottom has been treated, but if you turn it over and find that it is rough, lightly rub it with fine sandpaper to smooth it out.

Things to Know Before Purchasing

The unique character of each piece of pottery is created by blemishes, fading, uneven glaze, shading, and shape variations not found in mass-produced items. Handmade pottery is not perfectly shaped, and each piece has slight variations in color, size, and shape, with pinholes, crazing, and distortions. The charm of handmade pottery lies in the fact that no two pieces are exactly alike. These are also the unique characteristics of handmade pottery, so enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter. [Individual Differences] Because each piece is handmade, there will be individual differences in shape, size, and color. [Color Variations/Firing Variations] Since the glaze is applied by hand, the application may not be uniform. During firing, temperatures vary depending on the location of the kiln, resulting in uneven firing.
[Other Notes] Once products have passed inspection by the kiln or artist, they are inspected again before being delivered to customers.
