Elegant look

A sake cup with a somewhat retro atmosphere. The vermilion lines, blue, and brown designs stand out against the gentle yellowish-brown color. The coarse clay that reveals pebbles and the iron powder that can be seen here and there are unique to Shigaraki ware. With its rough texture, you can feel the warmth of the soil itself. Please enjoy the unique texture.

Blissful evening drink time

After pouring some chilled sake, enjoy some pickled squid as a snack. In autumn, how about a set of salt-grilled swordfish and hot sake? It's also perfect as a small bowl to serve side dishes such as simmered hijiki or vinegared dishes. Even if you serve onsen tamago, it looks like a Japanese inn and is wonderful. You can enjoy it freely depending on your ideas.

Things you should know before purchasing

What creates the expression of a pottery are spots, scratches, unevenness in the glaze, shading, and bending of the shape that cannot be seen in mass-produced products.
The charm of handmade pottery is that it may have pinholes, intrusions, distortions, etc., and is not perfectly arranged, but each one is slightly different in color, size, and shape, and no two are exactly the same. Please enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter as these are the unique characteristics of handmade pottery. [Individual differences] Because each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in shape, size, color, etc. [Uneven color/uneven baking] Since the glaze is applied one by one by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. During firing, the temperature varies depending on the location of the kiln, resulting in uneven firing. [Other notes]

〇Because the rough soil is used, many stone gobs are seen, but this is one of the characteristics of Shigaraki ware.
〇Products that have passed inspection by the pottery and artist are inspected again and delivered to the customer.
