The soft white color gives it a natural look. A technique called tatara-zukuri is used, in which shapes are made from clay plates. Although the finish is not uniform, it has a wonderful flexibility that is unique to handmade products.

Things you should know before purchasing
What creates the expression of a pottery are spots, scratches, unevenness in the glaze, shading, and bending of the shape that cannot be seen in mass-produced products.
