Warm appearance

A soup cup that fits well with your everyday dining table. The soft white color gives it a natural look. A technique called tatara-zukuri is used, in which shapes are made from clay plates. Although the finish is not uniform, it has a wonderful flexibility that is unique to handmade products. A tasteful look with black iron powder that stands out. Its gentle texture will complement any dish.

For cereals and soups

Use it as a soup bowl, such as thick stew or minestrone with lots of ingredients. It also comes in handy as a granola cup in the morning. You can enjoy it regardless of the genre, such as with corn soup or kakitama soup(type of Japanese egg-drop soup,). It can be used for a variety of purposes depending on the occasion.

Handling precautions
・If you use a metal scrubber or detergent containing abrasives, there is a risk of scratching the surface.
・Due to the characteristics of the raw material clay and glaze, there may be slight differences in the size, shape, color, texture, and weight of each product.
・Mold will form if it contains too much moisture.
・As you use it, small cracks will appear on the surface. This is a characteristic unique to pottery called penetration. The white color is especially noticeable as the soil color is revealed through the cracks.
・Prices may be reviewed or revised depending on the artist or pottery.

Things you should know before purchasing

What creates the expression of a pottery are spots, scratches, unevenness in the glaze, shading, and bending of the shape that cannot be seen in mass-produced products.
The charm of handmade pottery is that it may have pinholes, intrusions, distortions, etc., and is not perfectly arranged, but each one is slightly different in color, size, and shape, and no two are exactly the same. Please enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter as these are the unique characteristics of handmade pottery. [Individual differences] Because each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in shape, size, color, etc. [Uneven color/uneven baking] Since the glaze is applied one by one by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. During firing, the temperature varies depending on the location of the kiln, resulting in uneven firing. [Other notes]
〇Products that have passed inspection by the pottery and artist are inspected again and delivered to the customer.
