In 1995, the couple started their own business as Sankirai Pottery.
While making pottery every day in a pottery studio surrounded by nature in Shigaraki, While feeling the changes of the four seasons directly with all five senses. I would like to continue expressing myself through the production of pottery.

Shigaraki ware

This ceramic is produced around Shigaraki-cho, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, and is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan. The rustic texture of the earth is appealing, making full use of the richness of nature. Because they use strong china clay, they are good at making large pottery like raccoon dog ornaments.
