Standard design that can be used for a long time

This is a tea bowl with a ten grass pattern that has been popular in Japan since ancient times. A thin vertical striped pattern drawn in red with each stroke. If you look closely, you can see lines running all the way around the high ground, and you can see the attention to detail. The gently wavy body and exquisitely curved edges create a shape that fits easily in your hand. The skills of Arita's craftsmen, who have continued to create pottery with consideration for the people who use it, shine through.

Tea bowls that can be used as a pair

A large piece of mentaiko is placed on top of fluffy, freshly cooked rice. The large size allows you to put lots of rice accompaniments, such as natto and grilled salmon. The deep shape seems to be useful when eating Ochazuke. It's great to pair with a different color of indigo, or give as a couple's bowl as a gift. The simple and unpretentious style is easy to use on a daily basis and will be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Things you should know before purchasing

What creates the expression of a pottery are spots, scratches, unevenness in the glaze, shading, and bending of the shape that cannot be seen in mass-produced products. The charm of handmade pottery is that it may have pinholes, intrusions, distortions, etc., and is not perfectly arranged, but each one is slightly different in color, size, and shape, and no two are exactly the same. Please enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter as these are the unique characteristics of handmade pottery. 【Individual difference】 The finish is relatively uniform, but because it is handmade, there may be individual differences in shape, size, color, etc. [Uneven color/uneven baking] Each painting is done by hand, so the thickness of the lines may not be uniform. During firing, the temperature varies depending on the location of the kiln, resulting in uneven firing. [Other notes] 〇Products that have passed inspection by the pottery and artist are inspected again and delivered to the customer. ■For more information, please see here. Arita ware

Arita ware is porcelain manufactured in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, and its surrounding areas. It is said to be the first porcelain made in Japan, and has been widely used as tableware and crafts for over 400 years. Arita ware has a strong image of transparent white porcelain and decoration, but there are also many vessels that use brightly colored glazes, giving a rich variety of colors to your dining table.
