Collaboration with cooking expert Mizuki

This is a deep plate with a rim made with Mizuki, who is popular for his cooking recipes. "When you try it, you'll be surprised how easy it is to use and it will make your dishes look better." As Mizuki said, yellow is a color that is rarely used, but it's actually a very easy-to-use and stylish-looking pottery. Just by serving regular food, it adds something special and makes it look like restaurant food. Apparently it was the easiest color to photograph, so be sure to take pictures of your home-cooked meals.

Recommended usage from Mizuki

It's the perfect size to serve a main dish for 1 to 2 people. It's perfect for stir-fries, but it's also perfect for stews as it has just the right amount of depth. The shape makes it easy to scoop with a spoon, so I think it's easy to use for dishes like omelet rice.

・When placed on a table, etc., there may be some wobbling that is not a problem for use.
・Due to the nature of the glaze flowing down the edges, it may be slightly thinner.
・Penetration (cracks in the surface glaze) may occur during the use process, but this is not a crack or damage and does not affect use.
・Prices may be reviewed or revised depending on the artist or pottery.

About the style and atmosphere

“Even if you don’t try hard, a beautiful pottery will make you look delicious.” With this in mind, we created this pottery with Mizuki, a culinary expert, and a Hasami-yaki pottery. Mizuki usually chooses pottery that is easy to take photos of, or one that doesn't make too much of an statement, but still has a nuanced feel to it. For this time's utensils, we purposely stuck to simple shapes and colors in order to match them with other utensils and dishes. Each item is different in shape, size, color, etc., so some items may look like the ones in the photo. Differences in color, uneven color, and sagging that occur by chance during firing and hand-molding create a unique handmade texture. Enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter, as no two items are the same.

What you need to know before purchasing

The appearance of vessels is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced vessels. The charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that no two vessels are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another. The coloring, size, and shape of each piece is slightly different, and the charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that they are not exactly the same. Individual differences
The finish is relatively uniform, but because it is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, color, and so on. Uneven color/uneven firing
Because the glaze is applied by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. The firing process is also uneven because the temperature varies depending on the firing location in the kiln. Other Notes
Some pieces have engraving on the reverse side of the piece, while others do not. Please note that we are unable to make any specifications. Please note that we are not able to specify which side has the engraving on it. Please click here for more details. Characteristics of Utsuwa and what you need to understand when purchasing
