Warm texture

A child with an impressive herringbone pattern. The rounded form gives it a lovely impression. It has a smooth texture and the unevenness of the pattern is fun to the touch. The geometric patterns and gentle colors will complement any type of cuisine. It is unusual for Hasami ware, which is mostly made of porcelain, and because it is made of ceramic, it has the soft atmosphere of earthenware.

Great for the dining table

It's the perfect size for when you just want to eat something like mini chirashi sushi or whitebait bowl. Top the sparkling freshly cooked rice with sockeye salmon and mitsuba leaves. Pour clear dashi stock and make a smooth ochazuke. It is also useful for serving side dishes for one person, such as pot-au-feu and other rich soups and vegetable salads. It looks delicious even with other simmered dishes such as meat and potatoes! You can also stack them, so it's a good idea to have one for your family and for guests.

About the style and atmosphere

The "ORIME" series is made with textile motifs. The ``herringbone'' pattern is characterized by a rough weave. The pattern is made using a stamp, and the design looks like pasted fabrics together, giving it an interesting handcrafted feel. One of its charms is the tasteful texture that takes advantage of the shading and fading of colors, overlapping and unevenness in order to express the texture of the cloth. ■You can also view the ORIME series vessels here. What you need to know before purchasing

The appearance of vessels is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced vessels. The charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that no two vessels are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another. The coloring, size, and shape of each piece is slightly different, and the charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that they are not exactly the same. Individual differences
The finish is relatively uniform, but because it is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, color, and so on. Uneven color/uneven firing
Because the glaze is applied by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. The firing process is also uneven because the temperature varies depending on the firing location in the kiln. Other Notes
Some pieces have engraving on the reverse side of the piece, while others do not. Please note that we are unable to make any specifications. Please note that we are not able to specify which side has the engraving on it. Please click here for more details. Characteristics of Utsuwa and what you need to understand when purchasing
