About the style and atmosphere
"I hope it will be useful at everyone's dining table..." With this in mind, we created UTSUWABI's original pottery
with Koyo kiln! We pay particular attention to ease of use, including the shape and design of the painting.
Some of the items shown in the photos are also included. Differences in patterns, color shading, bending, iron powder,
etc. that occur by chance through firing and hand-molding create a unique handmade texture. Enjoy this
once-in-a-lifetime encounter, as no two items are the same.

Koyo Kiln
1947 Started a kiln in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture Mainly produces sake wares, and later produces general tableware.
2003: Changed the name of the kiln to Koyo Kiln. Currently 3rd generation (Yosuke Maeda)
We manufacture a wide range of household tableware with simple and soft forms, from indigo-dyed to red-painted and glazed pottery. We value traditional Arita techniques and aim to create pottery that fits modern lifestyles and that both the maker and the user can relate to. "I want the younger generation to use Arita ware as well." Arita ware, which used to be used for special occasions, can now be used on a daily basis. This idea is reflected in the price range and design.
