Relaxing, dignified tableware

A wreath plate that will brighten up your everyday dining table. The soft white color creates a warm atmosphere. Each cute facial expression is carefully drawn one by one. The key point is that the rim also has a pattern so that it looks gorgeous when serving food! The adorable appearance will gently complement your everyday dishes.

Standard tableware

Just the right size to serve side dishes for 2 to 3 people. If you serve a salad, the blue color will complement the green and red, making it look even more delicious. The rim is slightly raised, so it's okay if it's a little juicy, such as meat and potatoes or boiled pumpkin! It also makes a great dessert plate by arranging some chocolate or dried fruit muffins. It goes well with not only Japanese food, but also Western food, so I think it will be a great addition to your dining table.

Recommended maintenance by the pottery ・For overpainted products, avoid using the dishwasher and wash them by hand with a soft cloth or sponge. Doing so may cause red, gold, or silver paint to peel off or darken.
・After using the utensils, wash them as soon as possible and dry them thoroughly. Insufficient drying may cause mold and odors.
Product characteristics/
Handling precautions
・As it is handmade, there may be individual differences in color, shape, size, thickness, etc.
・Since the painting and glazing work is done by hand, there may be slight differences in the pattern, color shading, glaze color, and application method.
・Since the soil contains a lot of iron, there may be small light brown or black dots on the surface of the pot, but this does not cause any problem in use.
・Recommended for those who want to enjoy the warm texture that is unique to handmade products, each with a different look.
・Since it does not absorb water, it is difficult to get stains, mold, etc., and is easy to handle.
・Depending on the age of use, small scratches from forks and knives may become noticeable (especially since olive glaze is soft).
・Prices may be reviewed or revised depending on the artist or pottery.

About the style and atmosphere

"I hope it will be useful at everyone's dining table..." With this in mind, we created UTSUWABI's original pottery with Koyo kiln! We pay particular attention to ease of use, including the shape and design of the painting. Some of the items shown in the photos are also included. Differences in patterns, color shading, bending, iron powder, etc. that occur by chance through firing and hand-molding create a unique handmade texture. Enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter, as no two items are the same. It's the perfect size for a fried egg, mini salad, and bread roll.

Koyo Kiln

1947 Started a kiln in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture
Mainly produces sake items, and later produces general tableware.
2003ChangedChanged the name of the kiln to Koyo Kiln.
Currently 3rd generation (Yosuke Maeda)

We manufacture a wide range of household tableware with simple and soft forms, from indigo-dyed to red-painted and glazed pottery. We value traditional Arita techniques and aim to create pottery that fits modern lifestyles and that both the maker and the user can relate to. ``I want the younger generation to use Arita ware as well.'' Arita ware, which used to be used for special occasions, can now be used on a daily basis. This idea is reflected in the price range and design.

What you need to know before purchasing

-The appearance of items is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced items.
-The charm of handmade items lies in the fact that no two items are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another.
-The coloring, size, and shape of each piece is slightly different, and the charm of handmade items lies in the fact that they are not exactly the same.
-The finish is relatively uniform, but because it is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, color, and so on. Uneven color/uneven firing Because the glaze is applied by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly.
