Painting that gives you a sense of history

A small plate with an eye-catching pattern painted all over the vessel. A painting-like pottery made based on a traditional pattern called "Fuyote". The design has an attractive natural feel, as if two deer are relaxing in the forest. Although it is small, it has a presence and will make your dining table more enjoyable.

As a side dish or chopstick rest

Serve with sesame-scented spinach and green beans with sesame dressing. The size is useful for serving small daily side dishes. It's also nice to put some pickles on top and snack on it to take a break from chopsticks. When it's time for a snack, you'll want to serve it with yokan and enjoy it with green tea. Since the edges are raised, you can also use it for dishes that are a bit juicy.

Arita ware

Arita ware is porcelain manufactured in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, and its surrounding areas. It is said to be the first porcelain made in Japan, and has been widely used as tableware and crafts for over 400 years. Arita ware has a strong image of transparent white porcelain and decoration, but there are also many vessels that use brightly colored glazes, giving a rich variety of colors to your dining table.

What you need to know before purchasing

The appearance of vessels is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced vessels. The charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that no two vessels are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another. The coloring, size, and shape of each piece is slightly different, and the charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that they are not exactly the same. Individual differences
The finish is relatively uniform, but because it is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, color, and so on. Uneven color/uneven firing
Because the glaze is applied by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. The firing process is also uneven because the temperature varies depending on the firing location in the kiln. Other Notes
Some pieces have engraving on the reverse side of the piece, while others do not. Please note that we are unable to make any specifications.
