Director of the dining table

This is astragalus with a beautiful lacquer color. A clean shape with a modern atmosphere. The smooth surface is pleasant to the touch and feels moist in your hands. The bottom part of the astragalus is flat, giving it a sense of stability. It can also be used as a stylish way to serve as a bite-sized appetizer when entertaining guests.

Charm that increases as you use it

Perfect for fried rice and ramen, as well as hearty vegetable soup. It also goes well with ethnic dishes such as gapao rice. It is difficult to conduct heat, so even if you bring hot or cold food to your mouth, it will not get extremely hot (cold). It would also be delicious as an accompaniment to Japanese sweets such as Shiratama Zenzai. The glossy lacquer gives it a luxurious feel and will elevate your everyday dining table.

About the style and atmosphere

Negoro-nuri and Akebono-nuri are techniques that can only be achieved by skilled craftsmen, in which red and black lacquer are layered and the surface is scraped to bring out the underlying hue. As you continue to use it, the color of the base will become darker and the shine will increase. There are some items like the one shown in the photo, but this does not pose a problem for use. Each piece has a different color and wood grain, giving it an attractive and unique look. Please enjoy this “once in a lifetime” encounter! ■Others, list page. Please find your favorite. What you need to know before purchasing

The appearance of vessels is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced vessels. The charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that no two vessels are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another. The coloring, size, and shape of each piece is slightly different, and the charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that they are not exactly the same. Individual differences
The finish is relatively uniform, but because it is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, color, and so on. Uneven color/uneven firing
Because the glaze is applied by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. The firing process is also uneven because the temperature varies depending on the firing location in the kiln. Other Notes
Some pieces have engraving on the reverse side of the piece, while others do not. Please note that we are unable to make any specifications. Please note that we are not able to specify which side has the engraving on it. Please click here for more details. Characteristics of Utsuwa and what you need to understand when purchasing
