New yet nostalgic pottery

This plate looks just like Scandinavian tableware and is appealing to the eye. While using traditional techniques from ancient times, the modern design has a nostalgic feel. The surface is smooth and the rim has a rough texture, and the difference in texture is really fun. The soft, slightly beige color is sure to bring out the expressiveness of your dishes.

A platter that will become the centerpiece of your dining table

Approximately 8 inches in size, perfect for asparagus and bacon pasta or main meat dishes. It's also useful as a one-person plate for serving sandwiches and salads. Carpaccio of scallops and white fish sashimi with olive oil and balsamic vinegar is also wonderful. It looks like you'll have a lively conversation with a glass of wine. Another nice feature is that the rim part is raised, making it easy to hold. It is also stackable, making it easy to store and perfect for those who want to have enough for their family.

About the style and atmosphere

The kuppi series is produced using a technique called "inban-te." Inban is a technique in which a stamp with a pattern engraved on it is coated with pigment and then stamped onto fabric. We unearthed the seal that has been dormant for a long time at the Arita ware pottery and re-edited the design to create a nostalgic yet new design. Because each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in color shading and pattern appearance. I hope you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter. ■You can also view the kuppi series of items here. kuppi list page

Arita ware

Arita ware is porcelain manufactured in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, and its surrounding areas. It is said to be the first porcelain made in Japan, and has been widely used as tableware and crafts for over 400 years. Arita ware has a strong image of transparent white porcelain and decoration, but there are also many items that use brightly colored glazes, giving a rich variety of colors to your dining table.
