Appearance like a painting

This bowl has a distinctive shape of handle. The unique shape that stretches smoothly on both sides not only looks cute, but also makes it easy to place spoons and forks. The bright green and yellow pattern is inspired by "nature in the city." Each piece is created from an original painting and colored using a technique that allows the paint to sink under the glaze so that it can be used semi-permanently. The graceful curves and natural scenery drawn with a soft touch will give you a gentle feeling. When you pick it up and touch it, it feels moist in your palm, and you can feel the high quality of the pottery.

Fun to look at and use

The size is large enough to accommodate plenty of main dishes. A stewed hamburger steak topped with plenty of demi-glace sauce and a cabbage roll simmered in consommé soup. Because it is deep, you can safely serve even juicy dishes. You can also use the oven, so put cheese on gratin or grilled vegetables and put it in the oven. It's fun to serve freshly cooked, piping hot food straight to the table. These items bring liveliness to the dining table and add color and gaiety to everyday life.

About the style and atmosphere

The Fajans series is influenced by "faience", which originated in Europe. After 10 years of research into clay and glazes, the durability of the pottery has been improved by firing at high temperatures. The material has a soft and warm texture, but it's also nice that it can be used in the microwave and dishwasher. While retaining the traditional charm of Sweden, these items fit naturally into modern life.  Each item is different in shape, size, color, etc., so some items may look like the ones in the photo. Differences in color, uneven glaze, and sagging that occur by chance during firing and hand-molding create a unique handmade texture. Please enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter, as no two items are the same. ■You can also view the Fajans series items here. Fajans list page

POTPURRI

The etymology of POTPURRI is "mixing" in Swedish. It is never just one person who makes something; instead, the individualities of various people come together to make something. Sometimes, encounters with people, cultures, and craftsmanship techniques are mixed together and given form. A brand name that embodies our passion for manufacturing. "Pursuing universal things, beautiful forms that never change." “Always try new things and keep changing without being tied down to one style or set of values.” While valuing this idea, we work on original designs as well as reproductions of designs left by our predecessors.

What you need to know before purchasing

-The appearance of items is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced items.
-The charm of handmade items lies in the fact that no two items are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another.
-The coloring, size, and shape of each piece is slightly different, and the charm of handmade items lies in the fact that they are not exactly the same.
