About the style and atmosphere

Tetsukohiki(Iron-powdered) utensils have a rustic atmosphere and go well with any kind of food. Iron powder appears on the surface as black spots when the iron contained in the clay is fired in the kiln. There are some cracks as shown in the photo, but this is one of the characteristics of Shigaraki ware called stone hase. In addition, powdered cloth is water-absorbent and tends to leave stains easily. One of the charms of pottery material is that they tend to change with daily use. Please enjoy the expressions at that time and make it your own. ■You can also view Shigaraki ware here. Please find your favorite. Shigaraki ware list page
