Modern yet somehow nostalgic

This quince dish has beautiful glazed crystals that reflect the light and sparkle. The deep gray color reveals a different expression in each piece, and is characterized by its rough and matte texture. The brown color that appears due to the texture of the glaze gives it a calm, vintage-like appearance. Even though it has a cool impression, the gentle curves of the quince give it a warm feel. The chic tone of the plates creates a beautiful contrast with the ingredients and will make any dish stand out.

About the style and atmosphere

This series is based on the motif of traditional utensils and quince plates that have been loved since the Edo period. The quince is said to bring prosperity and good luck to descendants, and is one of the auspicious emblems often used in family crests. It features a modern take on a traditional form, with a design and color scheme that blends into everyday dining, whether Japanese or Western. Because the surface glaze processing is done by hand, the shape of the color and the shape of the crystals are each different, and the tasteful texture that can only be achieved by handwork is one of the attractive features. Arita ware

In the early 17th century, Korean potter Yi San-pyeong discovered pottery stone in Izumiyama, Arita Town, and it was the first fired porcelain in Japan, making it one of Japan's most representative traditional crafts. Its transparent whiteness and gorgeous painting make it beautiful, giving it a thin, light, and delicate impression, but it is also hard, strong, and durable. Many of the pots are made of durable porcelain that can be used in the microwave and dishwasher, making them perfect for everyday use.
