Beautiful and bold painting

This 5-inch plate makes cooking fun just by thinking about what to put on it. Dynamic Okinawan patterns brightly decorate your dining table. The gosu and candy-colored patterns stand out against the slightly creamy white background, and just looking at it will make you feel energetic. Although Yachimun has a strong image of being heavy, Toshin Kiln is characterized by not being too heavy or thick. The rise of the edges is also exquisite, and it fits naturally in your hand. This may be the result of a history of creating everyday pottery that is close to the people who use it.

Okinawa on your dining table

Its refreshing appearance makes it perfect for light side dishes such as cabbage and salted kelp salad or boiled okra. The surface on which food is served is approximately 10 cm. Thanks to the rise of the edges, you can arrange it in a well-balanced manner if you pile it up thickly. The series of dots gives it a fun look and makes even a small dessert look gorgeous.

About the style and atmosphere

Toshin Kiln strives to create new products while preserving tradition. When setting the fire in the kiln, we offer a prayer: ``Imamarashi Misore'' (please be born). Utsuwa were born with the blessings of Okinawa's nature and the passion of their creators. Please raise them with love. Yachimun is Okinawan pottery that gives you a sense of warmth and a laid-back climate. Yachimun often has uneven glaze application, cracks called intrusions, accumulations of layered glaze, unevenness, and pinholes. We hope that you will enjoy the tasteful textures of these handmade pottery, which are not found in mass-produced products. ■Others, list page. Please find your favorite. Toshin kiln list page a>

Tsuboya ware Toshin kiln

After Masakazu Soma trained at Ikutoen in Tsuboya, he built a kiln in Nakama, Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture in 1975. In 1978, the kiln was moved to Zakimi, Yomitan Village. Until now. While preserving the traditional techniques of Tsuboya ware, we continue to create new works with the motto of ``always creating something new,'' such as unique red glazes, dyeing, fish patterns, and itchin.

What you need to know before purchasing

The appearance of vessels is created by spots, blurs, unevenness of glaze, shading, and deflection of shape, which cannot be found in mass-produced vessels. The charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that no two vessels are exactly alike, with pinholes, penetrations, distortions, and the like, and that the colors, size, and shape of each piece vary slightly from one to another. The coloring, size, and shape of each piece is slightly different, and the charm of handmade vessels lies in the fact that they are not exactly the same. Individual differences
The finish is relatively uniform, but because it is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, color, and so on. Uneven color/uneven firing
Because the glaze is applied by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. The firing process is also uneven because the temperature varies depending on the firing location in the kiln. Other Notes
Some pieces have engraving on the reverse side of the piece, while others do not. Please note that we are unable to make any specifications. Please note that we are not able to specify which side has the engraving on it. Please click here for more details. Characteristics of Utsuwa and what you need to understand when purchasing
