The comfort of solid wood
This is a tray that looks like a horizontally stretched melon shape.
The material, chestnut wood, has a calm color that is said to be ``grayish white.'' The surface is slightly rougher than cherry wood giving it a rustic wooden look. There are no places for fingers to get caught, and it has a smooth and comfortable texture. 
People tend to think that solid wood items are difficult to maintain, but that's actually not the case. If it's just crumbs from bread or sweets, just brush it off, but if you're concerned about dirt, just wipe it with a damp cloth or rinse it off with water. If it starts to feel dry, you can treat it with oil to restore its shine and bring out the wood grain.
For bread and sweets
Small in size, just enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The quince-like shape resembles a handl, allowing you to hold it stably. 
Add small baked goods such as chocolate or cookies to your favorite teacup or soba choko. You can also use it to serve light snacks such as hot sandwiches.

| Recommended maintenance by the artist | ・If you are concerned about dirt, please wipe it with a tightly wrung out cloth. Please avoid using detergent when washing with water. ・If it becomes whitish and flaky, apply vegetable oil to a kitchen paper or cloth. (Walnut oil, safflower oil, perilla oil, etc. Olive oil will not dry out.) If you are still concerned about the dryness, use sandpaper with 320 grit and apply polishing oil. ・As you take care of it and use it, it will develop a beautiful color. |

Overheating can lead to cracking, deformation, and fire accidents. ・Oil finish is not completely water resistant. ・Do not leave it immersed in water or anything with moisture in it. If you put something with a lot of moisture on it, it will stain in about 15 minutes. ・Ultraviolet light can cause discoloration, deterioration, and deformation, so please store it in a place out of direct sunlight. ・Please note that the edges are thin and easy to hang. ・Prices may be reviewed or revised depending on the artist or pottery. |

Kiln owner's recommendation for maintenance
