Somewhere new, the craftsmanship shines through

This 5-inch plate has an impressive dotted pattern of "Tobikanna" that shows the skill of handicrafts, and a pattern drawn with two colors of glaze. Contrary to its impressive appearance, it quickly becomes a supporting role when served with food! The fascinating tobikanna pattern matches a wide range of cuisines, including Japanese, Western, Chinese, and ethnic. It has a moderate weight and sense of stability, is durable, and is easy to use, making it an indispensable part of your daily dining table.

From side dishes to desserts

The versatile 5-inch plate is a size that is often used throughout the day. Top with light snacks such as rolls and rice balls. During snack time, just putting Japanese sweets or cream puffs on top will make a great picture. It looks delicious even with a whole tomato salad on top. The edges are slightly raised, so you can safely use it even if it's a little juicy. It can also be stacked for storage, so it's convenient to have one for your family and for guests.

In modern times, Koishiwara ware has become increasingly popular due to its traditional yet modern design. It is a pottery that naturally blends into our daily lives while retaining its old-fashioned, rustic charm. As you can see in the photo, the differences in color, uneven color, and bending that occur by chance due to firing and hand-molding are one of the attractive features of handmade products. We hope you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter, where no two are the same. ■You can also view Koishiwara ware pottery here. Please find your favorite. Koishiwara ware list page

Koishiwara ware

Koishiwara ware is a historic kiln that was opened in Toho Village, Fukuoka Prefecture, about 300 years ago. Its most distinctive feature is its unique geometric patterns such as ``hake-me'', ``tobi-kō'', and ``comb-drawing(kusime)''. It is popular for its orderly yet simple texture that gives you the warmth of handiwork, and has been used as a pottery for everyday use. With the folk art movement that began in the early 20th century, its existence was once again attracting attention, and the world-renowned British potter Bernard Leach praised it as ``the pinnacle of practical beauty.'' +‥‥‥‥+ 《Customer coordination》 〇From kamienokiroku (instagram) Its appearance blends in with any type of items, giving you a sense of security that makes you want to use it every day as a serving plate. +‥‥‥‥+
