Sophisticated design

A small plate with an impressive cross-shaped form. Mr. Ishida's pottery is created using a technique called "crushing molding," which involves shaping things on a potter's wheel and fitting them into a mold. The deep green glaze gives it an antique feel. Each one has a different color, with some being slightly brownish and others having a strong greenish tint. The edges are studded with leaf patterns, and you will be enchanted by their delicacy. The gradation created by the shading of the glaze is beautiful, and you can enjoy the uniqueness that can only be achieved by handcrafting.

Small workers

It's the perfect size for serving pickled vegetables or delicacies to accompany alcohol. Miso is also a good accompaniment to cucumbers. It's also great as an accompaniment to coffee, topped with small pieces of chocolate or sugar cubes. It can also be used as an accessory tray for special earrings and rings.

Things you should know before purchasing

What creates the expression of a pottery is things that cannot be seen in mass-produced items, such as spots, scratches, unevenness in the glaze, shading, and bending of the shape. The charm of handmade pottery is that it may have pinholes, intrusions, distortions, etc., and is not perfectly arranged, but each one is slightly different in color, size, and shape, and no two are exactly the same. Please enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter as these are the unique characteristics of handmade pottery. 【Individual difference】 Because each item is handmade, there may be individual differences in shape, size, color, etc. [Uneven color/uneven baking] Since the glaze is applied one by one by hand, the glaze may not be applied evenly. During firing, the temperature varies depending on the location of the kiln, resulting in uneven firing. [Other notes] 〇The appearance of the pattern differs depending on the degree of glaze applied. 〇Products that have passed inspection by the pottery and artist are inspected again and delivered to the customer. ■For more information, please see here.
