This is a deep plate with a rim made with Mizuki, who is popular for his cooking recipes. "I like that it's versatile and you don't have to choose what to serve." As Mizuki said, the white color has a matte texture and a slight ecru color, making it a workhorse that goes well with any kind of food. The expression changes dramatically depending on the food you serve, so you can use it for a long time without getting tired of it. Another great feature is that you can match it with patterned placemats and enjoy a wide range of table coordination.

It's the perfect size to serve a main dish for 1 to 2 people. It's perfect for stir-fries, but it's also perfect for stews as it has just the right amount of depth. The shape makes it easy to scoop with a spoon, so I think it's easy to use for dishes like omelet rice.

About the style and atmosphere

“Even if you don’t try hard, a beautiful pottery will make you look delicious.” With this in mind, we created this pottery with Mizuki, a culinary expert, and a Hasami-yaki pottery. Mizuki usually chooses pottery that is easy to take photos of, or one that doesn't make too much of an statement, but still has a nuanced feel to it. For this time's utensils, we purposely stuck to simple shapes and colors in order to match them with other utensils and dishes. Some items have sunspots as shown in the photo, but this is one of the characteristics of earthenware. I hope you enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter that can only be achieved by handmade items.

Hasami ware

Pottery originated in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture, with a history of about 400 years. Many of the pots are made of durable porcelain that can be used in the microwave and dishwasher, and are perfect for everyday use and can be enjoyed every day without hesitation.
