Gentle expression

A mug with an impressive herringbone pattern. The carefully carved fine lines resemble the bones of a fish. The unevenness of the surface creates shading in the glaze, giving it a unique handcrafted feel. B has a strong brownish tinge and has penetration. Both have a calming texture and will blend gently into your dining table.

Domoto's utensils are made using old-fashioned traditional glazes and cherishing the presence of clay that is unique to Shigaraki. Born in Osaka in 1971 1994 Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Art, Osaka University of Arts 1994 Joined Furuya Ceramics (studied under Nobuo Furuya) 2007 Opened Domoto Pottery Studio in Shigaraki "Every time you use it, various expressions appear."
