A 5-inch plate with an impressive dotted pattern of "Tobikanna" that shows the skill of handiwork. Contrary to its impressive appearance, it quickly becomes a supporting role when served with food! The fascinating tobikanna pattern matches a wide range of cuisines, including Japanese, Western, Chinese, and ethnic. It has a moderate weight and sense of stability, is durable, and is easy to use, making it an indispensable part of your daily dining table.

Very active from morning till night

The versatile 5-inch plate is a size that is often used throughout the day. Serve with a salad of japonica and mizuna, or top with fried tofu. Things you should know before purchasing

What creates the expression of a pottery is things that cannot be seen in mass-produced items, such as spots, scratches, unevenness in the glaze, shading, and bending of the shape. The charm of handmade pottery is that it may have pinholes, intrusions, distortions, etc., and is not perfectly arranged, but each one is slightly different in color, size, and shape, and no two are exactly the same. Please enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime encounter as these are the unique characteristics of handmade pottery. 【Individual difference】 Because each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, and thickness. [Uneven color/uneven baking] The glaze is carefully applied one by one by hand, so the glaze may not be applied evenly. During firing, the temperature varies depending on the location of the kiln, resulting in uneven firing. [Other notes] 〇There may be some unevenness in the glaze as shown in some photos. 〇Products that have passed inspection by the pottery and artist are inspected again and delivered to the customer. ■For more information, please see here. Koishiwara ware

Koishiwarayaki is a historic kiln that was opened in Toho Village, Fukuoka Prefecture, about 300 years ago. Its most distinctive feature is its unique geometric patterns such as ``hake-me'', ``tobi-kō'', and ``comb-drawing''. It is popular for its orderly yet simple texture that gives you the warmth of handiwork, and has been used as a pottery for everyday use. With the folk art movement that began in the early 20th century, its existence was once again attracting attention, and the world-renowned British potter Bernard Leach praised it as ``the pinnacle of practical beauty.''
